At Hikari & Ink, we stand behind the quality of every print we create. Each piece is made to order with care and attention to detail. We understand that sometimes issues can occur, and we're committed to making things right.

Quality guarantee

We guarantee the quality of every product we deliver. If you receive a product that is defective or damaged due to production or shipping issues, we will cover the costs of a replacement or provide a full refund.

Our quality guarantee covers:

  • Damage to delivered products - Physical damage that occurred during production or shipping
  • Errors in quantity - Missing items or incorrect number of products in your order
  • Quality issues - Defects in printing, materials, or craftsmanship that affect the product's appearance or durability

Return policy

Because each print is made to order specifically for you, we do not accept returns for change of mind or personal preference. However, we are committed to resolving any quality issues you may encounter.

What this means:

  • We do not provide a return address for standard returns
  • For defective or damaged products, we will send a complimentary replacement or provide a full refund
  • If you need to place a new order for any reason, you will be responsible for the costs of the new order

How to report an issue

If you receive a defective or damaged product, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. We'll work quickly to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Contact us

Reach out to us at hello@hikariandink.com or through our contact page. Please include your order number in your message.

Step 2: Provide documentation

Send us clear photos of the issue. This helps us understand the problem and process your claim more quickly. Please include:

  • Photos showing the defect or damage clearly
  • Photos of the packaging if it was damaged
  • Your order number

Step 3: Resolution

Once we validate your claim, we will send a complimentary replacement order or provide a full refund if a replacement isn't feasible. We'll keep you updated throughout the process.

*Claims must be submitted within 30 days of receiving your order.

Lost or returned orders

Lost in transit

If your package is lost during shipping, please contact us within 30 days from the estimated delivery date. We will send a replacement order on your behalf at no additional cost.

Returned to sender

If your order is returned to us due to an incorrect address or because it was unclaimed, we can help:

  • Place a new order with the correct address within 30 days of the estimated delivery date
  • Contact us to inform us of the new order - we can arrange for the product price to be refunded for the new order
  • Note that shipping costs will still apply to the new order

Refund processing

When a refund is approved, we process it as quickly as possible. Refunds are typically credited back to the original payment method used for the order.

Refund timeline

Refunds to credit cards typically take 3-5 business days to process and appear on your statement. The exact timing may vary depending on your bank or credit card provider.

Color variations

We use standardized printing processes to ensure color consistency across all our prints. However, slight color variations can occur due to factors such as:

  • Different printing machine types and settings
  • Variations in paper types and batches
  • Environmental conditions during printing
  • Monitor calibration when viewing digital images

Please note: Minor color variations within acceptable tolerance levels are considered normal and are not covered under our quality guarantee. These variations are part of the natural printing process and do not affect the quality or value of your print.
